Last week Google dropped the Agent Payments Protocol (AP2) and I spent the weekend digging in on it.

What does this mean for you? If you run an ecommerce website and want to sell products and services to people that are on the OpenAI, Gemini and Claude agent hypetrain then you will want to keep this on your radar.

They say it can be used with Google’s Agent2Agent Protocol which allows their agents to talk to your agents or MCP.

I still think A2A might be computational inefficient and a great way to burn a lot of money on expensive LLM models but I am keeping an open mind.
