O’Reillys Course Update

O’Reillys Course Update

Did you know that in April my video course Zero to Hero on AWS Security: An Animated Guide to Security in the Cloud launched on the O’Reilly platform?

It has a 5 star rating… and when I say “A 5 star rating” I literally mean it has 1 rating but it's 5 stars. I am just happy people are using it, the ratings will come.

If you or someone you know are looking to beef up your AWS security skills you should check it out. What is included?

Each module has a basics section where I use my pixel art animation tool to demonstrate the concepts the an infrastructure as code section showing how to implement:

Module 1: IAM basics, users, groups, roles, permissions, etc

Module 2: VPCs, Subnets, routetables

Module 3: Security Groups (AWS’s internal firewall)

Module 4: Secrets Manager and SSM Param Store

Module 5: Encryption via ACM (AWS Certificate Manager) and KMS (Key Management Service)

Module 6: AWS WAF (Web Application Firewall)

Module 7: AWS Cognito for secure user management at scale

Module 8: AWS SSO and Organizations

Most sections also have accompanying terraform code you can grab off of github.

If you are just hearing about this it is probably my fault; back in April I actually think I was so busy with a client project that I forgot to promote it.

Last time I talked to my editor at O’Reilly the were looking for more content so here is my question for you:

What topics would you like my next course to be on?
