Interested in joining a group of high performing technical leaders?

Now that I have Dominic DiMarco, a seasoned CTO, on my team we have been kicking around the idea of actually getting the CTO Think Tank Mastermind off the ground.

In an effort to expand our Schematical / Cloud War Games clientele Dom and I were asking ourselves “When we were CTOs where did we go when we had problems?”.

At that level your problems are not the same as your typical engineer's problems. The engineer’s problems might look like “Why won't this Python code work” whereas the CTO’s problems might look more like “We are thinking about acquiring this company. How should their tech factor into the valuation? How are we going to integrate with their tech stack? How does their existing team integrate with our team?” etc.

Our problems are often not things that would be appropriate to post on social media, either because they are too complex or contain sensitive information that is best not made public.

Dom and I realized that when we had something we needed to talk out we called each. Over the past 15+ years I can’t imagine the amount of times we sent each other one simple word “Jam?” meaning let’s jump on a call and talk through what each other is working on.

I am truly fortunate to have found brilliant minds to surround myself with like Dom, JBird, Juan B, and am truly blessed to work with the CTOs of the companies I am proud to call my customers. Not just the CTOs but the Technical Decision makers that have to make tough decisions. Oftentimes decisions that have consequences that either make or cost the company 8 figures or more to their bottom line.

These decisions weigh heavy on your shoulders. Both Dom, myself and I am sure every CTO or technical decisionmaker of a decent sized organization have spent countless sleepless nights thinking about these difficult decisions, searching for the solution to these 8 figure problems.

Wouldn’t it be nice if there was a place where CTOs and other high level technical decision makers could “Jam”? To transfer knowledge, mentor each other, have a shoulder to cry on, or just vent privately to others that feel their pain?

That is why I am starting CTOThinkTank. If you are interested I’ve got a landing page up where you can get on the waiting list.

We will be sending out a survey shortly to see what times and how frequently are best to meet.

Looking forward to sharing the journey with you.
