Ever find yourself in a situation where AWS is billing you for some random little charge and you just can’t find how to delete the resources causing that charge?

It is an occurrence I hear devs complain about quite frequently. Well the nice people at GruntWork have released a tool to help with that. They built a tool that completely obliterates your entire infrastructure(there are some limitations)…. Now that I think about it this could be used for nefarious purposes.

WARNING: USE WITH EXTREME CAUTION.

This is great for AWS accounts that don’t have any production services running in it. Especially if you have everything vital to the running of your infrastructure in IoC so you can easily spin back up the essentials once CloudNuke is done nuking your infrastructure.

Why am I sharing this when I could easily charge to hunt down and destroy the offending resources myself? Because I aim to add as much value as I can to the people who read my content. Also because CloudNuke is a sledgehammer and if you have a production system then you more than likely need a scalpel(me) so as not to disrupt production functionality.
