Sick of bots spamming your website? Start making a profit from them instead.

AWS Web Application Firewall(WAF) just launched functionality to allow you to monetize bot traffic.

Now you can turn a slight profit from pesky bot traffic instead of just blocking them.

It uses the x402 protocol I have written about before, which will require a USDC wallet address on Base, Solana, or both to receive payments.

To be clear, I am not pumping crypto or giving you investment advice; I am just letting you know the technical requirements of this AWS feature.

In reality, I am really curious how this will play out. Will people authorize their agents to pay fractions of a cent to access your content, or is this just an overengineered 403 block?
